• WP1: Experimental study of Stiffener Run-Out

The purpose of WP1 is to establish an experimental base of stiffener run-out behavior and failure. Hence, using this knowledge, it will be possible to develop a modelization and to generate the failure criteria in WP2.

  • WP2: Development of Failure Criteria

The objective of this WP is to find a simple methodology to predict the failure load of a stiffener run-out area.

  • WP3: Design of innovative stiffener run-out

Designing innovative and improved solutions for stiffener and stiffener run-out using the methodology developed in WP2. Furthermore, in this design stage, there will be a search for the improvement of the overall weight.

  • WP4: Validation

– Validate and demonstrate the innovative methodology so that it is possible predicting the failure load of a stiffener run-out area. Configurations established in WP3 will assay it.

– Test the mono-stiffener panel configurations proposed in WP3.

– Test the multi-stiffener panel configurations proposed in WP3.

– Analyse the results and, thus, quantify the savings achieved through the innovative methodology developed.

  • WP5: Management, dissemination and exploitation of results

This Work Package is aimed at ensuring an effective management of DOVER: Day-to-day administration, smooth communication strategy, submission of reports and deliverables on time and meeting the required quality standards, control and management of risks, and finally, controlling and monitoring the progress to avoid deviation in scope, time or budget. Also here covered is the exploitation, communication and dissemination management to ensure that the work is carried out on time.
